A political perspective on group dynamics

Our Gestalt Field Theory allows us to be aware all members have a point of view on the group situation and no point of view is more important than another. This democratic principle is an important source in confirming human dignity and supports the process of self-regulation on the border of organism-environment, individual-group/society.

As a consequence of this perspective the role of the group leader is not privileged. Despite his specific role he is equal with the others in a co-creating process. ‘If you work with people to get them to the point where they can think on their own and sort themselves out from the majority confluences, it’s political work’ (Laura Perls).

In this workshop we explore and experiment with different levels and forms of phenomenological interventions. We will deepen our awareness and strengthen our skills working with groups from a political perspective.
